Our research focuses using environmental remote sensing to study biodiversity, ecological function and biogeochemistry at the intersection of land and water systems. We use geospatial technologies to collect measurements from satellites, airplanes, drones, boats and more. Our research ranges from agriculture and watersheds to wetlands, estuaries, lakes and rivers.
Our lab is lead by Professor Erin Hestir, in the Civil and Environmental Engineering department at UC Merced.
